Austin, Texas – Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital
Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital (CTRH) is a joint venture between the Austin-based Seton Family of Hospitals and Triumph Healthcare. Since its establishment in 2007 as a 20-bed hospital within Seton Medical Center, CTRH intended to relocate to a new, larger freestanding inpatient rehabilitation facility near the Seton campus. After certain setbacks delayed the project for over two years, Prevarian was asked to get involved in 2010. We quickly identified a suitable development site in Central Austin for construction of a new replacement hospital.
The Prevarian team purchased the land and successfully received approvals for entitlements, including zoning and a subdivision plat. Prevarian also worked closely with area neighborhoods to ensure that their needs were met.
The property opened and began admitting patients in April 2012.
Building Specifications
The 59,000-square-feet, three-story building will house 50-patient beds and create up to 60 new jobs. A potential second phase is planned that would add a 50-bed, long-term acute care hospital.
